Bridesmaid Dresses By Season
The color of your bride’s maid dress can often be easily chosen by season. Keep in mind the following colors which will go perfectly with each season.
Spring
Pastels – any color pastel is going to go perfectly with a spring wedding. Colors like light blue, light purple, or yellow are perfect colors for the spring season. These colors will look especially good if you are having an afternoon or less formal wedding.
Purple – purple is the perfect color for any season, but this looks especially good in the spring. Purple is going to look fantastic up against your white dress.
Pink – out of all the seasons, pink is definitely going to go with spring the best out of any season. This is a great choice especially for brides who are particularly feminine
Summer
Pastels – pastels are going to be your best friend during the summer months. Anything bright and airy is going to go perfectly with the hot summer air. You might want to pick something a bit lighter material if you are planning your wedding at the beach.
Yellow – summer is the perfect season for a yellow dress. There’s nothing like yellow to bring out the cheery atmosphere of the summer season.
Fall
Maroon – Going a dark shade of red is elegant and is going to bring out the best in your bride’s maids. This is a bit too dark for the summer and spring months, but is perfect for fall.
Purple – purple is my favorite color and goes well with any season by changing the shade. However, purple is the season you can get away with a true purple color. This would be my highest recommendation.
Blue – blue is also a fantastic choice for the fall months. After all, blue is America’s favorite color.
Winter
Dark Green – Green is a fantastic color and goes best with the winter months. Just be careful as your bride’s maids may have trouble pulling off a green dress especially if they are on the heavier side.
Royal Blue – Do you want your bride’s maids to look like a princess? Then pick royal blue. You can’t go wrong with blue.
Black – only choose black if you are having a very formal wedding. Black is a great formal color, but is not recommended for an afternoon wedding.
