Maid of Honor Poem
If you are an especially poor writer, you may choose to give a Maid of Honor Poem as opposed to a speech. There are poems out there that can say what you always wanted to tell the bride at her wedding better than you ever could. There are even poets out there that write nothing but poems about love.
You will want to make sure that you read many poems before you choose the perfect one. Unless you were an English major in college, you most likely are not an expert on poems. However, as you begin to read more of them, your style of peom should stick out pretty clearly. You mostly likely can just stick to reading poems either about love or about weddings.
Because poets can write in almost an infinite number of styles, make sure you pick a poem of which the style appeals to you. You have many choices such as poems that rhyme and poems that tell a story. Just make sure the poem fits the occasion
Pick the one that stands out to you as the one that you must have at the wedding. Because poems are an art form, you will either love it or you will hate it. When you find one you love that describes the bride and groom to your satisfaction then it will be time to decide how to present the poem.
Typically the positive of a poem is that you can get away with reading it off a sheet of paper or note cards rather than having to memorize the speech. Just keep in mind that it is possible that a Maid of Honor speech is much more personal than a Maid of Honor poem so you might consider going with the speech.
